Mr. McGee co-founded Brazos in 1999. He is actively involved in all aspects of managing the firm and its portfolios. He serves as a director of several Brazos portfolio companies. His past board service to Brazos portfolio companies has included Comark Building Systems, Republic Insurance Company, Rennhack Marketing Services, Cheddar’s Restaurants, ORS Nasco, Strategic Equipment and Supply Corporation and Walls industries. Mr. McGee currently serves on the board of directors of Winebow, Ennis-Flint, Healthcare Solutions, Golden County Foods, and Impact Confections. Prior to co-founding Brazos, Mr. McGee was a senior investment professional at Hicks Muse, a private equity firm. Mr. McGee began his investment and finance career as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch & Co., most recently as part of the Media and Telecommunications Group in New York. During his 25-year career, Mr. McGee's activities have extended to the consumer, healthcare, business services, media, technology, financial and manufacturing sectors in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Mr. McGee serves on the board of the Dallas Museum of Art, as past-chair of the Budget and Finance Committee and a member of the Investment Committee, as well as the board of the St. Mark’s School of Texas, where is he is also a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. McGee received a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University, with a double major in Engineering Science and Economics and a minor in Business Administration.
